Meet & Greet

This is the perfect opportunity for you and your family to come meet our horses and wranglers in their natural habitat. Come up close to our horses and ask all the questions you would like. You might even get the opportunity to feed them. This is a memory making experience for both children and adults.

Horseback Trail Rides

Saddle up in true Texas style and enjoy the West the way it was meant to be experienced, on horseback! The Sorrel experience offers guests the opportunity to ride our beautiful quarter horses through an easy scenic ride amongst 1600 acres of wild Texas brush. Our expert wrangler will provide in depth information and riding tips throughout the ride.

Sunset Trail Rides

Enhance your horseback riding experience with a breathtaking West Texas sunset! The Sorrel experience offers guests the opportunity to ride our beautiful quarter horses through an easy scenic ride in time to capture a memorable sunset viewing. Our expert wrangler will provide in depth information and riding tips throughout the ride.
Sunset rides are SEASONAL experiences. Guest Services will verify availability.

Horse Psychology

Ever want to be a horse whisperer? Here is your chance! Dive deep into the psychology and body language of horses, and learn to build a bond that you've never had before. Our wranglers will teach you how to speak the language of the horse and build confidence around these icons of the West. The experience will cover all the basics of equine science and psychology as well as the famous technique of "linking up". We don't want to spoil all the magic so sign up for the learning experience of a lifetime!
This equine activity is offered Wednesday through Sunday.

Details for Equine Activities:

Safety standards for trail riders: 250lb weight limit, rider must be a minimum of 8 years old, closed-toed footwear required, pants recommended. All equine activities will provide the opportunity for participants to take photos throughout their experience. Guest(s) will meet at the Main Lodge prior to the scheduled activity for transportation to the equine center. Any specific questions or concerns can be address with our Guest Services team.
