I traveled there by myself and stayed for a week, and it was absolutely wonderful, so much more than I expected! Everyone at JL Bar Ranch was incredibly attentive and truly went above and beyond to make my time there special. The food was phenomenal, and they were exceptionally considerate about my dietary requests, making every meal both delicious and personal.

The service was of the highest quality, and you can genuinely feel the warmth of Southern hospitality in every interaction. The wine tasting, sunset trail riding and clay target shooting were all so much fun. I highly recommend trying them all! Everyone I met was highly knowledgeable in their area and always willing to go out of their way to make you feel right at home.

This place is a rare gem, and I will definitely be coming back. Thank you to everyone at JL Bar Ranch for making my stay so memorable and special!

We really enjoyed our quiet and relaxing stay at JL Bar Ranch, Resort & Spa! Everyone was so accommodating and friendly. It is a beautiful property. Would recommend it to anyone who wants a tranquil place to go.

We had an absolutely wonderful experience at JL Bar. Top notch customer service with a personal touch, gorgeous grounds and overall property. Private, quiet, incredible food and service. Five stars all around! We eagerly look forward to our next trip and to sending our clients for their own experience there as well!

LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE! If I could live there I would. If you want PERFECTION! Jl bar will give it too you. Customer service was top tear shout out too Nicholas and Markie blue. The BEST Bar tenders and wonderful people! Mr keith so nice and Loretta (his sweet pup) for taking us on rides around the property too see exotic animals and shoot archery! He’s amazing! Mr John top tear cowboy who will take you horse back riding around the property to see the beautiful sunset! Also amazing! Mitchelle gave me the best message of my life! Mr Robbie the manger is an angel who will go out of his way to make you feel so welcome like you are family. I can go on and on about how wonderful this place is! Stunning, beautiful, and absolute perfection. I can wait to return!

I came for my first ever solo trip for my birthday. Everything was beautiful. Resort was very clean. Staff was amazing! I did horseback riding, ax throwing and a massage at the spa. Jon and Keith were awesome! Sydney at the main restaurant was so sweet and gave me great conversation. Nicholas was very sweet. I would definitely visit again!

Only cons I had were the pool and hot tub were not working & they didn’t have Netflix. 2 of the main reasons for my getaway but I still had a great time sitting by the pool and relaxing in my room! The views are amazing!

Beautiful property, friendly staff, and excellent food. We had a great time riding horses, eating & drinking in the restaurant, and relaxing by the pool. Went hunting with Heath and tagged my first Axis Buck on a spot and stock hunt. Beautiful country and amazing unique hunting opportunity. We’ll be back!

Our family travelled around the US for 6 weeks in Dec/Jan, we swapped a lot of our plans around so we could experience the JLBar Ranch. We were not disappointed & had such an amazing time!
Beautiful ranch, the room was impeccable, the food was delicious and the staff were attentive and helpful.
A special thanks to Loren for taking us on the ranch tour & spending the day teaching us to shoot. He was so kind & encouraging with our girls & they absolutely loved shooting the rifles!
Cash the horse also stole my little girls heart 💗
Thank you so much, our visit will be one that we will remember forever!

My husband found this spot after I shared the only way I would go hunting with him was if there was a spa involved! Who knew this amazing spot existed?! The resort itself is very well taken care of. The grounds are typical Texas hill country - and the views are stunning from the main lodge. We stayed in the Executive Deluxe Cabin and it’s very well appointed. Extremely quiet! Bedding is very comfortable!! When you get here, plan on parking your car and staying on-site. There is a coffee shop and cute little shop with clothes and such. The image shared is the avocado toast. Try the chicken quesadilla - that was the best item we ate!
Now the spa…. Get a massage by Connie! She is absolutely amazing. This was the best massage I’ve had - ever! And I’ve had a few!
My husband had great luck with Kyle who took him out to get an Axis! He’s looking forward to hunting with him again.
All of the staff are so friendly and personable. Just all around an amazing experience! We will absolutely come back -(which makes my hunting husband very excited)!

JL bar Ranch and Resort takes hospitality and professionalism to another level. Every staff member we interacted with made us feel like family. Everything was perfect, intimate, spotless, detailed, and DELICIOUS.
Gabrielle was one of the best bartenders on the property! She was genuine, personable, hilarious, and knowledgeable. She went above and beyond to ensure our stay was flawless.
Rebecca at the front desk was always in the right place and literally knew the answer to any question we had.
Jon with the horseback experience was a hoot! He is an excellent horseman, has beautiful animals, and a refreshing personality.
Robbie, the general manager, spoke to us whenever we crossed paths, made us feel like the only guests at the resort, and seamlessly carried genuine conversation.
Roy, the Tequila tasting master, taught us so much about Tequila and gave us a new appreciation for the agave plant.
This resort was an amazing experience! I highly recommend taking a trip to Texas to see this immaculate property and outstanding staff.

The JL Bar Ranch, Resort, & Spa is truly heaven on earth! As a hunters wife, I appreciated being able to relax while my husband did his thing. The ranch took us in and made us feel like family. The staff are genuinely kind people and made us feel welcomed. I ate meals alone while my husband was hunting; staff kept me company with great conversations. The food was to die for!!! You have to try the pecan French toast. I had my first massage and facial at the spa; I have never felt more relaxed. The scenery is breathtaking including special sightings of wildlife. Our room was comfortable and clean. We dream of coming back in the future. Thank you all for everything!

From the moment you drive up, the staff is 100% about you and making you feel like a king. While attending a business retreat there, was able to take time for some shooting and horseback riding the first time doing both in over 10 years. The staff understood it had been a while. They made my experience riding the horse comfortable. Taking out the guns and shooting clays they walked me thru and to make me feel safe, and enjoy the time. I want to bring my family back for some fun times as you cannot experience all in one visit.

This was our 3rd visit to JL Bar and it hasn't disappointed yet. We always stay in the luxury cabins nearest the pool and golf/games area. Everything has always been clean and immaculate. The food is fantastic and we love having options for breakfast, lunch and dinner depending on our schedule for the day. They do have a great kids menu that will appeal to any child. During lunch both days, they brought our food to the pool, so we did not have to walk to the dining room. We had buckets of drinks at the pool to stay cool and they checked in on us. This was our first time to try out the spa services. They were phenomenal! Connie put together a spa package to include our 7 year old daughter and it was the highlight of her whole vacation and made her feel special and we appreciated the time she took to do that. Elezar and Michael did a great job on bartending and we enjoyed talking to them. Taylor and Nyomi were our servers in the dining room and we appreciated their attention to details and assistance. The grounds are kept immaculate and the views are gorgeous. Our daughter enjoyed the horse meet and greet and it allowed us to see another side of the ranch. There is also a pool table inside, shuffleboard, board games, etc for families to have fun together if it gets too hot outside (or rainy). Highly recommend this place for families or couples looking to get away.

This is an experience that will make you want to visit again and again. The staff was phenomenal, with the level of personal attention you receive, you will feel as if you are the only guest there. We already planning our next visit. Thanks to the entire staff, the GM Robbie, the ladies at the front desk, Joe, Taylor, Neil, Gavin, Kathy, Mike, Eliazar, and Calista. Sincerest apologies for anyone I failed to name. You all contributed to making our time spent memorable. Can't wait to visit again.

Upscale resort with beautiful landscaping and very clean right next to I-10. Went there for brunch. Great food and service. Learned about many things to do on the resort like hunting, archery, spa, horseback riding and etc. Even they have a day pass if you don’t want to stay for the night. Nice indoor and outdoor spaces for weddings or large parties. Will definitely come back.

This place is amazing. Manicured grounds, clean facilities and lots to do with many activities in which to participate. We stayed for a weekend with a business group of 50. We had the main lodge to ourselves. It even has its own Starbucks outpost along with a general store with unique items. A hidden gem in Sonora.

We had a wonderful time at this Ranch celebrating my dad’s birthday, we wanted to have a ranch experience but make it luxury and this is it! Definitely recommend, within the first few hours of being there we were already thinking we should come back. We came for a weekend of a concert that was in the airport hangar, a very cool experience.

The team was really great and made the experience awesome. Mindy helped us with scheduling everything and building our itinerary so that we could pack in as much as possible without overloading us. The team also decorated our room for the birthday celebration which was a really nice touch. Joe was very personable and an overall fun guy to have as a guide around the property. Lorin did a great job with our shooting activities making sure we were safe and having fun. Bobby and Michael are fantastic bartenders who made sure we all had fun and got the most delicious drinks. John made us very comfortable with the horse riding for us and really knows his horses. Sydney really knows her wines and gave us so much information that I’ve never gotten from even Napa wineries. Just overall incredible experience and very guest focused.

The grounds were gorgeous and the food was awesome - we recommend the prime rib for sure! We didn’t get to see much wildlife but that is how it goes with animals! Our rooms were comfortable and very clean.

My wife and I were lucky to have the resort almost to ourselves due to some cancellations. The staff treated you like family. I hunted for 3 days, while my wife enjoyed the spa. Joe took us on a tour around the property which was awesome. Being from Louisiana, I can be a little judgmental when it comes to food...the JL bar ranch didn't disappoint in this area either. My guide Ricky was a great guy. Unplugged from the office with the cell phone turned off was one of the most relaxing places I have ever been to. Can't wait to go back.
